The wheel or crikelasia or Krikelasia
The wheel or crikelasia was a game that came from the depths of time. There are painted images of the game on many vases that date back to the 5th century B.C..
We can find one of the most important images on a vase that is kept in the Archaeological Museum of Boston, on which we can see Zeus runnning after Ganymedes who is playing with the wheel.
In this game they used a wheel made of iron, which they rolled using an iron stick. They sometimes added small bells to the wheel which produced a sweet and pleasant sound.
While the wheel rolled on the ground they used to move in a way that demonstrated their skills.
In Aetolia this game was played at least until 1960 with wheels made of iron or wood or even with car wheels.
